Shepherds

Westlink currently has five men serving as the congregation’s Shepherds. Our shepherds have the oversight of the needs of the Westlink church. Shepherds (which is also the English equivalent to pastors) are also called elders, bishops, or overseers in the Scriptures. Elders and Shepherds are the main two terms we use at Westlink to describe the role of these leaders. As “shepherds” they serve with the ministers to guide the spiritual direction of the congregation. As “elders” they serve to oversee the financial responsibilities of a church family. The qualities of those who serve as shepherds are found in I Timothy 3:2-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
